Okay, yo.

I'm changing my livejournal account, because "bte" stands for my band's name, and my band is no more. I figure I'll swap before I have too many contacts and become too lazy. I'm already pretty lazy.

So, when blue_lillith adds you to her contacts (which she will do now), feel free to add her/me back. Or, don't, and I'll renounce this worthless friendship since you have quaintly decided you hate me.

Danke!

The COMA weekend was a general blast. Many hours of loud industrial music, drinking and dancing filled three days, leaving me tired and craving something with more guitar in it. A-Bot and I sported the new eyse all weekend, making us probably the gothiest pair there. I hate it.

And I love it. And now for the good part:

Dusk had long since fallen, and the four travelled westward in the familiar Toyota that promised to carry them home. It wasn't long into their journey when a voice wrang out in alarm: "Is that a FERRET?!" Four pairs of eyes looked to the right.
The fluffy white critter was running up the right lane of a four-lane main street, doomed and confused. There was only one choice: allow this adorable creature to fall blindly to its fate, or...
I jumped from the (slowly) moving vehicle and ran toward the ferret. The ferret ran toward me. This was alarming, as I was certain it therefore was diseased. I picked the little one up, somehow believing my overly-long sleeves would save me from any potentially diseased bites. But this little girl was not diseased, no! Her illness was loneliness, longing and despair. Thirsty and exhausted, the little ball of fur worshipped her saviors.
And so, an unexpected passenger was picked up in Montreal, driven five hours to Toronto, and accepted into a loving home under the decided name, "Sou" -- short for "Souvenir".

Some would say we saved a life that day. Some would say we thieved a ferret and have likely made someone very sad. Only the wind that followed her path could know the truth.

(Go ahead, try to tell a better story. AND it's true.)

Please, please, please vote.

I don't care who you vote for. Just, for the love of happiness, please do not vote conservative.

Everyone please vote for anything that isn't conservative. Here are the main reasons:

1. The conservatives hate you.
2. The conservatives will ban sexy fun. Like gay people, sexual abiguity, bi-curiosity, and sex in general.
3. The conservatives will ban public nudity.
4. The conservatives will ban colours.

These are only the ones we know now. If they follow the trend in which their headed, surely these unspoken results will follow:

5. The conservatives will ban Christmas because it's too expensive.
6. It will no longer rain water, but money that you can't have because it's acid money. Acid money rain.
7. The conservatives will ban kittens because they make us too happy.
8. The conservatives will assign country uniforms that everyone has to wear or else they're expelled from the country. The uniforms will be grey, with very short skirts that are only means to tease us since we won't be allowed to have sex or fun.
9. The conservatives will kick your mom right in the face and then kill your dog.
10. Giant tripods full of conservative party heads will smite us with heat-rays and cover entire towns with thick toxic smoke that will exterminate all those who aren't rich enough to live in houses that have their own atmospheres.

These are just a few reasons why I, and anyone who loves anything at all, humbly ask that you do anything to stop them.
Thank you for your time.

Am I supposed to post about how the evening went? Very well.

Before party. Club. After party.
Drinking. Dancing. Regretting.

As the evening progressed it seemed that more and more events would unfold to distress the overall mood in the room. It started out great, really, but everyone realized their own mishaps throughout the night. Of course, the troopers whom I dub my friends would never let bad events end their evening. It's funny how we, no matter how disappointed, no matter how frustrated, will all still show up for an after party.

As a result, the subtle tensions in the room were at times an effort to ignore-- but we all did a very good job of it. Fun and smiles were tossed between us like 5 cent hookers, rendering the night generally good. For those who came and smiled through their lousy evenings (which seemed to be most of us), thanks for the good spirits. For those who helped keep the smiles on them, wicked. For those who went utterly oblivious and partied their tuckusses off, fuckin' A+.

I deem the night, overall, a success. And I don't care what you say. =)
Happy New Year, by the way. <3
